This is our third annual bicycle ride. We benefit the Alzheimer�s Association and the Poth City Park�s new Hike and Bike Trail. We will have live music and a bar-b-q lunch free for riders. There are several water stations out on the course with plenty of snacks and drinks. We also prove several trucks out on the course to provide help for anyone down between water stations. The ride will start at The Vineyard at Florence which is located on FM 487 4 miles east of Florence off of Highway 195. The ride will take you through the scenic back roads of Florence and Williamson County. The routes will be 15, 35, 45, and 65 miles. There will be rest stops, supported by local organizations, providing all of the necessities. SAG and emergency services will be provided throughout the ride.

The 9th annual "RIP ROARIN' RIDE" sponsored by the Liberty Hill Lions Club will start at the Liberty Hill High School on Highway 29. This annual event for charitable purposes will take you through scenic rolling hills and valleys of Williamson and Burnet Counties on routes of 14, 28, 50, 65, 79, and 103 miles. This is a fully supported ride with rest stops, sag, medical and mechanical support along with the smiling faces of the friendly people of the area. Riders will start at 8 A.M.-none after 9 A.M.-and must clear the course by 4:30 P.M. You will finish back at the Liberty Hill High School where you will enjoy free food and cold drinks. Fabulous Las Vegas is calling all cycling enthusiasts to join the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) as we host RTC Viva Bike Vegas 2010 on Saturday, October 9, 2010. Whether you�re a beginning biker, a seasoned pro, or just want to enjoy the atmosphere of an exciting community event, this ride is for you! RTC Viva Bike Vegas 2010 will have several rides varying in length to accommodate riders of all ages and abilities, including a 110-mile century ride, a 50-mile half-century ride, and a 23-mile course. The event will traverse the Las Vegas valley, and cyclists will travel along routes showcasing the beautiful scenery and stunning vistas of Southern Nevada. Activities for children and families will also be available as they wait to greet returning cyclists. All registered riders will receive a T-shirt, swag bags, and lunch. T-shirts and lunch will also be available for purchase for friends and family. Proceeds will benefit Nevada Cancer Institute and the Greater Las Vegas Chapter of the After-School All-Stars.
